General FAQs

TIFF-IT XT software comes with a security key/dongle. The dongle is either an Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) device or a Universal Serial Bus (USB) device. These devices must be connected to the port on your Macintosh computer in order to launch the application.

Installation of USB Device
1. Plug the key into any USB port. USB ports are located on the top of your keyboard or in the rear of the computer.
2. Place the "USB Micro Guard Driver" file into the Extensions folder on your hard drive.
3.Restart.

Installation of ADB Device
1. Shut down your computer and peripherals.
2. Plug the ADB dongle into any ADB port. ADB ports are located at the top of your keyboard or at the back of your computer.
3. Re-connect any other ADB devices you may have disconnected to install the dongle. If you connect the dongle to an unused ADB port, you may leave the key hanging from the ADB port.
4. Start up your Macintosh computer and peripherals.
