is the affordable method for prepress system operators to edit sections,
change color areas, create density masks and make type changes on
Handshake LW files.
Handshake/LW
is a Photoshop plug-in module that reads and writes files in Handshake
linework (LW) format. Handshake/LW works in conjunction with products
that create, manipulate or transfer linework format files (such
as: Gateway Tools by Scitex Corporation, Ltd., Visionary Interpreter
for PostScript by Scitex Corporation, Ltd.). It is an affordable
method to edit, change color areas, etc. and utilize all features
in Photoshop. In addition, all file formats that are supported by
Photoshop can be opened from and saved to Handshake linework format.
Advantages
Handshake/LW edits linework files from: the Scitex System, Visionary
Interpreter for PostScript, Scitex ColorFill and the Scitex Gateway.
Linework files are opened in Adobe Photoshop as CMYK (cyan, magenta,
yellow, black) images and can be manipulated with all tools available
for use on CMYK files. Performs Handshake linework functions on
the Macintosh, within industry-standard programs.
