AdCheck allows
users to quickly and easily open and view production-image format
files including TIFF-IT, CT, HC, and LW using a standard Macintosh
computer. Now runs on Macintosh OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X.
AdCheck 3.0
provides prepress professionals with a single, reliable and intuitive
software tool to open, inspect, qualify and print a broad range
of file formats used throughout the graphic arts and publishing
industries.
The Grid function
allows users to put an electronic prepress grid in front of the
document automatically. AdCheck's easy-to-use interface makes all
the features available from a single tool palette. A Show Info box
provides detailed information on the document being displayed including
resolution, file size and colors found in the document.
The TIFF-IT
(Tag Image File Format for Image Technology) file format was developed
by the American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI). It is
intended to smooth prepress workflow by making images simpler to
exchange and transfer electronically between publishing companies,
printers, advertising agencies, color separators, prepress bureaus,
designers and photographers.
